Premier Apptio Summit

Rego’s first dedicated IBM Apptio Summit took place March 10-12, 2025 in sunny Orlando, Florida!

More than 70 professionals gathered to learn best practices in Technology Business Management (TBM), FinOps, IT Financial Management (ITFM), and Agile. The event was an immersive, collaborative experience where participants left with actionable insights, stronger networks, and the confidence to drive meaningful transformation within their organizations.

At Rego University, we have designed each class to be 100% centered on learning. Each session was carefully designed to ensure attendees could apply new skills immediately, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Participant interaction was emphasized, and many classes had working sessions where the participants could learn best practices from each other and get support from Rego experts. The FinOps and Turbonomic tracks provided hands-on strategies for optimizing cloud costs and automating IT resources, while Agile sessions explored real-world applications of iterative development. The Functional track brought an engaging and energetic approach to mastering Apptio tools, and Strategic sessions helped organizations refine their TBM frameworks. Technical deep dives covered performance optimization, automation, and integration best practices.

Open Labs

Many attendees decided to participate in open labs. During these one-on-one sessions, they benefitted from the personalized attention of Rego’s Apptio experts. Many problems were solved, and best-practice solutions were created during these collaborative and interactive sessions.

Building Community

It wouldn’t be a Rego event without the chance to have fun and network with peers! The Welcome Reception on Monday evening was a hit, as participants enjoyed making new connections and reuniting with friends from the greater Apptio community. Tuesday evening, many folks chose to explore nearby restaurants in groups, and enjoyed laughter, delicious food, and meaningful connections. The RegoU Apptio Summit finished on Wednesday with a final networking reception that took place on a lake with beautiful weather, a glowing sunset, and a glittering burst of Disney World® fireworks on the horizon.

The conference took place at the luxurious Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, which offered participants more opportunities to connect in a tranquil environment with exciting activities nearby. In addition to the neighboring Disney® resorts, the property offered five pools, two lazy rivers, miniature golf, a full spa, fine dining, and much more.
