Dan is the President and Founder of Rego Consulting, the leading PPM services provider. For over twenty years Dan has led hundreds of PPM tool deployments. As a thought leader in IT governance, process, configuration, and innovation, Dan has used the last eleven years to take Rego Consulting from seven employees to more than 140 PPM consultant-practitioners who have helped to guide over 600 companies in their PPM software investment.
Dan helped to shape Rego’s culture of helping clients, above anything else. All Rego staff have only one metric—customer satisfaction and success—which is why Rego enjoys over 99% customer retention. Dan is a working president, spending most weeks working directly with clients implementing process and tools, and he is a leader in the PPM space, speaking at events across North America.
A native of Michigan and now residing in the windy city, Jerry has vast experience in all things PPM. With over twenty years in consulting Jerry has worked with the likes of General Motors, Sprint, Motorola, HSBC Bank, Mayo Clinic and many others. Jerry earned his BA from Western Michigan, holds his PMP Certification, and is a Certified CA PPM Functional Consultant and ServiceNow Certified Administrator. Jerry enjoys being outside with his two children and two Labs and occasionally gets time to fly fish where he is often torn between choosing a Woolly Bugger or a Chernobyl Ant.
With over thirty-one years of PPM experience, George is the go-to person when it comes to delivering quality proposals and onboarding new Rego customers. George co-founded Project Portfolio Consulting Group (PPCG) in 2002, which was acquired by Rego in 2011. Prior to PPCG, he spent eighteen years selling PPM software at Niku Corporation, ABT Corporation, and Computer Associates (now CA Technologies). George holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School). With one child attending college and another about to start, George is giving up his dream of early retirement.
Steve Winchester has been a marketer for over twenty-six years, beginning as an account manager at Dahlin Smith White, famous for creating what may be considered one of the most successful branding campaigns in history—Intel Inside. During his ad agency days, he helped EarthLink convince grandmothers email is important, and as the global account director for Agilent Technologies, he figured out how to spell “mass spectrometry” and “liquid chromatography.” Steve holds a BA in Organizational Communications and was most recently Chief Marketing Officer at Helix Education. Because math skills were not a requirement for graduation, he married a CPA. Steve and his wife spend their free time enjoying the outdoors and supporting three children in their many hobbies and activities.
With twenty-one years of PPM experience, Josh is responsible for software engineering and technical innovation at Rego. He is the go-to guru for all technical issues related to PPM. Josh and his team are regarded as some of the most knowledgeable experts in the field. Prior to joining Rego, Josh held software engineering and technical innovation leadership roles with Clarity/NIKU/ABT and was formerly the Director of Clarity SWAT at Computer Associates. An avid family man, Josh resides in the quaint community of Guerneville. When not working, he can be found coaching youth basketball, boating, or trying to apply PPM methodology to a wicked round of pinball.
Todd Staebell CHRO/SVP – Sales Operations and Support
A twenty-eight year industry veteran, Todd feels as comfortable discussing program and resource management (or software development via Agile or Scrum) as he does plumbing and electrical issues for home restoration. Todd holds a BS in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from the University of Colorado. Todd has a wealth of experience. He’s been the transformational leader with a team that supported over 250 applications, implemented CA PPM for over 5,000 people, led teams in IT, Finance, and Telecom, and helped many companies recognize millions of dollars in savings through his keen ability to solve strategic problems. When not working on home restoration projects, Todd can be found skiing, fishing, and coaching teams for one of his three children. He is a big Denver Bronco’s fan, so much so that he requires all his visitors to drink Orange Crush soda.
Bob Schwartz is recognized as a transformational sales leader, who sets the pace from the frontline. Bob joined Rego Consulting following the acquisition of Digital Celerity’s PPM Practice, where he was SVP of sales and a managing principal. Bob is known for his relentless passion for capturing business value and satisfying customers with innovative software and consulting solutions. Without exception, Bob has exceeded his individual contribution-targets annually, and he models this growth mindset to his sales teams, who consistently meet or exceed their goals under his leadership.
Bob strengthened his natural business acumen selling and managing many of the largest companies in North America and has opened many new and emerging markets in commercial, mid-market, and enterprise accounts. As the Chief Customer Success Officer at Rego Consulting, Alyson’s focus all about happy clients! With more than 20 years of experience in technology, Alyson has focused most of her career working in the Project and Portfolio Management space as she began at Niku (CA/Broadcom) in 1999 as a trainer and consultant. She then moved to the “dark side” and spent many years supporting sales as a presales/solutions consultant. In a previous life, Alyson cultivated her love of history as a high school World History teacher before turning her interest to software and technology. More recently, however, Alyson worked as a Vice President of Presales at Medallia, a customer experience software solution, where she focused on both demos and enablement. Alyson recently relocated back to her native Texas and has even started using “y’all” again! If she isn’t on her computer, she is at her art studio where she is an amateur metal-smith.
Steph Harp is an enterprise management professional with over 20 years of experience, specializing in business and technical architectures, operations and professional services. She has a proven track record of building and leading teams, innovating, leading and executing complex and highly visible corporate wide initiatives, driving follow on business, mentoring others, and maintaining industry certifications in various methodologies and architecture. Outside of work, she stays busy with her family and pets – 5 kids (3 boys and 2 girls, boys are grown and off her payroll!), chickens, goats, and 3 golden doodle dogs. Steph still manages to squeeze more in as she owns a small business called PeetiePie which produces knitted and sewn items for babies and kids, with all the profits given to local charities in Atlanta. She loves to garden and be outside whenever she can whether it’s running or glamping in their 38 foot 5th wheel.
Dave hails from the thriving metropolis of Blue Earth, MN where he enjoys large snow drifts, managing the day-to-day sales and account activities of the Rego sales force, and helping to form go-to-market strategies. Dave has spent his career in account management and business development, across a wide array of services and industries, including manufacturing and IT. Dave holds a BA in Business Administration from Charter Oak State College. A lover of home restoration projects and family, Dave says the most important work he will do is not at Rego but within his family. “The family that shovels snow together, stays together.”
Jeff is one of the senior client account leads at Rego. He is responsible for making sure Rego delivers on its promises with exceptional results. Jeff graduated from Brigham Young University, has been with Rego for nearly three years, and works with clients across a wide variety of industries. Now residing in Florida, he has also lived in Germany and Korea, and he speaks fluent Korean. His most prestigious award is titled “Best Dad on the Planet.”
Rob Greca has extensive PPM consulting and industry experience where he has led or assisted leaders through various strategic and transformation initiatives at all scales. With more than fifteen years of experience, Rob has broad industry exposure spanning technology, financial services, retail, utilities, and pharmaceuticals. Rob specializes in large scale, enterprise-wide strategic transformations. In his spare time, Rob spends time with his wife, three kids, two dogs, two cats, and the kids he coaches in a club he founded: The Innovator’s Lab.
Clayton is the only person at Rego Consulting who has trekked Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. A certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Clayton has significant experience developing deployment roadmaps, implementation plans, and process improvements. His PPM experience includes program and project management, financial management, and capacity planning. Having lived in Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, and Nova Scotia, Clayton now calls Rothesay, New Brunswick Canada home. He holds a BSC from St. Mary’s University in Halifax and a post Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology.
Keeping up with Steve Seaney is not an easy task. With over twenty-five years of industry experience in technical and PMO roles, Steve has worked with companies in the automotive, high tech, and financial services industries. He has owned and managed some the the largest and most complex CA PPM installations in the world including HSBC and Nokia. Most recently Steve helped lead Optum Healthcare’s initial PPM launch with over 30,000 users. Steve holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Kellogg. When not working with some of the largest PPM deployments Steve can be found coaching youth sports including Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse.
At Rego, Dave focuses on complex development issues and serves as the code reviewer for any standard products that Rego develops. He has written hundreds of portlets and reports with special emphasis on performance through tuning SQL. Dave has deep experience with customizations, interfaces, data migrations, and complex processes that require a deep understanding of the CA PPM data model and efficiently structured code. Dave holds a BA from the University of Iowa and an MBA from DePaul University. If he’s not diving into a code review on his laptop,, David tries to find a few moments to relax by reading, traveling, or enjoying a Chicago Cubs game.
One of our technical mavens, Darren has spent more than fifteen years managing multiple disparate IT technologies and operations, including big data, software development, and third-party software implementations. At Rego, Darren is a leader in all things Jaspersoft and also a training and POD leader. With a BS in Information Sciences from Carroll University and a Six Sigma Green Belt, he brings significant knowledge in desktop and application virtualization, agile methodologies, global operations management, and client customer relationship. Outside of work Darren’s interests are just as varied. He is a self-proclaimed early adopter of technology and loves photography, reading, basketball, his family, and piloting Quadcopters.
If business process improvement is of concern to you, then Joe is your go-to guy. A believer that there is always a better approach to a flawed process, Joe has honed his skills over 17 years around project management. He is a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and a Certified ServiceNow Administrator. As a seasoned senior functional architect, Joe is both a mentor and leader to Rego team members. He has lived across the Golden State from Long Beach to Santa Rosa and now Morgan Hill. Joe enjoys playing baseball and soccer with his two sons and is frequently building rockets, Legos, and RC Cars. You didn’t hear this from us, but if you’re ever in Morgan Hill on a Saturday, stop by Joe’s house—you just might find something “brewing” in his garage.
When it comes to training, communications, and change management, Sara has you covered. She has experience in training and implementing training solutions for companies ranging in size from less than 100 to more than 40,000. Sara has fifteen years of industry experience working for firms such as Ernst&Young, CapGemini, and Washington Consulting. At Rego, Sara leads our CA PPM and Change Management training programs. Sara and her team help companies determine the best approach to meet their training and change management goals and then implement those solutions. Sara has a BS in Computer Science from James Madison University where she also played on the women’s field hockey team. Today Sara still enjoys field hockey and plays on a club team. She also enjoys running, hiking, boating, and being with her husband and two girls.
A lifelong resident of Sonoma County, CA, Kelly helps companies make their PPM software significantly more efficient. Whether it’s enterprise applications, database and network tuning, or application level debugging, Kelly has a sixth sense about how to find and improve systems. A ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, Kelly learned to hone his craft over fifteen years at International Microcomputer Software, Applied Business Technology, NIKU, Toyota, and CA Technologies. At Rego, Kelly is the line of business lead for Rego Performance Management, a service that identifies CA PPM users with insights, analysis, and actionable steps to improve performance. When not fine tuning PPM for clients, Kelly likes to fine tune his biking and ultimate Frisbee skills.
Wendy is the ninja of project and portfolio management, program management, project office development, and organizational change and process improvement. During the last twenty years, Wendy has helped organizations across a wide swath of industries, taught strategic and project management curriculum to MBA Students, and contributed to PMI’s Standard for Portfolio Management 2nd edition. PMP certified since 2001, Wendy holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, ITIL Service Management Foundations certification, and an MBA from Concordia University. She is Rego’s Process Practice Director, both overseeing the portfolio and serving as senior PPM process consultant. When Wendy’s not using her ninja skills to knock-out an inefficient process, she can be found enjoying the great outdoors, where she loves to hike, kayak, and snowshoe.
Mark Lundquist has spent over 20 years managing, designing, and implementing practice & process methodologies to drive the effectiveness of the PMO. As the Managing Director of Rego Consulting’s ServiceNow line of business, Mark is responsible for resource management, operations, training, process consulting, project execution, and sales/pre-sales. He is a skilled thought leader and communicator, and he’s an expert PMO practitioner with a balanced, straight-forward approach—focused on simplicity and effective communication strategies. Mark is passionate about enterprise portfolio planning and execution strategy because “platforms like ServiceNow can enable the enterprise to effectively plan for and execute key corporate strategic initiatives.” In his off hours, Mark can be found outside: traipsing golf courses and fishing lakes and oceans.
Jennifer Scarlato is a Senior Solution Consultant with Rego Consulting. Jennifer has been implementing project portfolio management solutions and setting up governance frameworks for more than 10 years. During that time, Jennifer has worked closely with large and small organizations to define and automate business processes, implement enterprise-class solutions such as CA Clarity PPM, and provide strategic guidance on best practices when implementing a Project Management Office. For the past 6 years, Jennifer has focused on successfully implementing CA Clarity PPM in organizations that are trying to improve their overall project portfolio management maturity. She is a subject matter expert on core CA PPM functionality including resource management, project management, portfolio management and financial management.
If you don’t know popular rugby lingo, like “TRY,” “Knock On,” and “Feeding the Scrum,” Dave can help you. It’s no coincidence he’s played and coached rugby just as long as he’s been involved with project management and project management process—twenty years. Dave has transferred his passion for rugby into architecting CA PPM implementations and integrations. He has a BA in Philosophy, a Masters in Library and Information Science from Indiana University, and holds his PMP and CSM designations. Dave has worked on PPM projects for Kroger, Putnam, and Emerson Climate. In addition to being an expert on processes, Dave can also fill you in on incredible details about the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds. Just try to stump him on the 1970-1976 starting line-up for The Big Red Machine.
Ramesh Rathnam Upgrades LOB
Ramesh has one of the most diverse and rounded backgrounds of the Rego team. He’s lived across the globe in places like Mumbai, London, Toronto, Ottawa, and now Long Island. During his travels, he built an impressive resume which includes titles like Director of Information Technology, Senior Enterprise Systems Management Consultant, Performance and Capacity Manager, Services Architect, and today, Principal Architect. Ramesh holds a Master of Science from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from Southeastern University. He’s also fluent in English, French, Tamil, Hindi and semi-fluent in German and Russian. When asked what his hobbies and interests are, Ramesh replied “too many to list.” We’re not surprised.
