Rego University 2024 Review: Insights and Highlights

On September 23-26, 2024, over 250 Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) experts gathered in Kansas City, MO for Rego University 2024.

This learning conference was a great opportunity for attendees to share their Clarity use cases, exchange ideas, learn Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) best practices, help each other benchmark their maturity, and get inspired about what Clarity can do in their organizations.

In addition to the program attendees have come to know and love, this year RegoU introduced three new certifications that could be earned by participating in different tracks.

Certifications tracks:

• Best Practice Clarity Administrator
• Best Practice Clarity Lead
• Best Practice Clarity Technical

Over 150 attendees opted to earn certifications through Rego University, helping them level up their Clarity skillset and demonstrate their knowledge and expertise.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Concepts of Creativity class, we also designed a new leadership learning track this year. This set of courses is designed to help PMO leaders guide their teams effectively, think creatively, drive resource management success, and tie strategy to execution.

• The Concepts of Creativity
• Strategy on a Page – From Vision to Results
• Strategies to Improve Focus and Personal Performance
• Adaptive Leadership for Diverse Teams

When we poll attendees each year, we always receive feedback that their favorite part of Rego University is learning and connecting with other professionals. The ability to talk about similar challenges, victories, and opportunities with peers and make new friends is one of the core reasons we love RegoU!

This year, attendees connected outside the classroom by going out on the town together and getting to know one another in between classes.

We also had several clients share their Clarity expertise with the community during client sharing sessions, including Wabtec, Broadcom, Canada Life, The Hershey Company, Discount Tire, and more.

Attendees also loved having the chance to meet one-on-one with Clarity specialists during open lab sessions. This year participants could choose to meet with Clarity functional or technical experts depending on their needs, and get help with resource management best practices, OKRs, Clarity admin settings, integrations, and everything in-between!

We also wanted to give a huge thank you to our wonderful sponsoring partners, including Platinum sponsor Broadcom, who not only continues to innovate with Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ leading solution, Clarity by Broadcom, but also has developed several other beneficial ValueOps solutions like Rally Software, ConnectALL, and Insights. They had their Expert Bar set up to show attendees how to get the most out of their ValueOps solutions, as well as to demo new solutions and give away great gifts.

Broadcom also led several engaging sessions including The Future of ValueOps and AI, How to Write Great OKRs, The Problem with Product Management, and more!

Prosci was also on hand with knowledgeable experts to discuss enterprise change management best practices, talk about training, and hand out fantastic swag. They even taught a new course on Integrating Project Management and Change Management for Adoption Success.

Scaled Agile, Inc. was in attendance as well to talk all things Scaled Agile Framework, Agile training, and transformation. We are already planning more shared content with this valued partner, so stay tuned.

And of course, it wouldn’t be RegoU without our friends from ITDesign, who also brought their Clarity expertise, unique Resource Management solutions, and the best German treats! Their session on Advanced Resource Planning was very popular.
