The challenge: poor visibility of project costs and resources

Polycom is continually innovating to create new video, voice, and content solutions that meet its customer needs. It must ensure it has effective project management processes for new product development to maximize resources, meet deadlines, and satisfy market demands.

Without a suitable solution for project planning and forecasting, the company lacked the visibility it needed of costs and resources. To ensure it had the necessary insights, Polycom decided to invest in a dedicated project and portfolio management (PPM) solution.

The solution: greater project visibility for 1,200 users

To improve project management, Polycom partnered with Rego Consulting to deploy Clarity SaaS.

Drawing on its years of expertise with the solution and knowledge of PPM best practices, Rego Consulting helped Polycom develop five custom reports and five custom portlets to provide greater visibility of project status, resource requirements, and both the capital and operating costs relating to each project.

Clarity is now used by 1,200 Polycom employees across China, India, Israel, Canada, and the US to track around 350 projects annually.
