Arriving is a Breeze
First things first—arriving is a breeze. It’s only 10 minutes away from the San Diego International Airport, so getting there is effortless. When you arrive at the entrance, you’ll feel like you’re in the middle of the tropics. Gone is the bustle, tension, and noise of a big city. Paradise Point is truly a beautiful escape from the stress of everyday life.
Check in is simple, with the lobby located right next to the pool. The staff is friendly and quick, so you’ll get situated without any hassle.
Rooms Like Cabanas
When you get there, you’ll notice that all of the rooms are on one level. They look like little cabanas with Adirondack chairs out front, overlooking serene ponds. You can sit and watch the ducks play freely. It’s so relaxing! The rooms are spacious with a spa-like feel.
On our first night in San Diego, we toured the Little Italy district with a friend. The second day, we spent time with the Paradise Point team discussing event details. They helped us come up with a fun itinerary that everyone will enjoy. We decided to book some venues for evening activities, including a pool reception.
That night, we went to Gaslamp for some delicious Mexican food and fancy drinks at a speakeasy. There’s no shortage of five star dinner choices in the area, so if you’re a foodie, you’ll have options to your heart’s content.
After work the next day, we toured an oceanfront venue where Rego will be having dinner on the beach. It’s near a park with zip lines, laser tag, and even a roller coaster. You could make a whole evening out of the park, then join us later for some relaxing social time. This place has something for everyone. You’ll never be bored.
Safari Park Zoo
While we were there, we drove about 45 minutes to Escondido, to the famous San Diego Safari Park Zoo. If you haven’t been there, we can’t recommend it enough. It’s a must-see in the area. In fact, we plan to host our Rego resources there the Saturday before you all arrive.
The cheetah exhibit was our favorite, and afterwards, we got to see a hot air balloon peacefully floating across the park. They have zip lines, wildlife Jeep tours, and walkable bird sanctuaries where you can see and interact with wild animals up close. There were even some adorable baby elephants.
We’re going to have a great time there. It’s worth the trip, because the zoo experience was unforgettable.
Barefoot Cantina at Paradise Point
For our last night, we went to the Barefoot Cantina at Paradise Point. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we had so much fun. We ended the night with a bonfire on the beach—marshmallows and all. We left knowing for certain that this is going to be an amazing RegoU.
As the time draws closer, we will keep working on ways to make it the best one so far. We’re heading out to Las Vegas now, but we have to say that we’ll miss Paradise Point, and we’re looking forward to coming back soon.
This is one of the most exciting spots we’ve ever held RegoU, and we can’t wait to see you there.
