The challenge: supporting a more Agile approach
Lexmark’s IT teams, particularly those working on core applications, were increasingly using Agile methodologies. The company wanted to adopt a more agile approach across IT delivery, as well as deploy IT Business Management (ITBM) throughout the organization.
Lexmark needed to ensure that its project and portfolio management (PPM) platform could support all aspects of its preferred IT delivery framework for the future.
The solution: a single, holistic platform
Impressed by its Agile and ITBM capabilities, Lexmark selected ServiceNow as its new PPM platform and turned to Rego Consulting to assist with deploying the system and developing a standardized framework for IT delivery.
Rego helped to define and implement a work management framework that combined Waterfall and Agile components, and established sprint schedules and release chains catering to both methodologies.
For maximum speed and efficiency, Rego provided an out-of-the-box implementation with customizations to meet Lexmark’s specific needs. Rego also collaborated with Lexmark’s in-house ServiceNow developers to deliver customizations, including reporting for visibility into cross-enterprise work delivery.
Rego also provided end-user training, via workshops at the outset and full user training upon deployment of the new solution.
