The challenge: greater visibility and resource management

Keeping a step ahead of cybercriminals requires fast delivery of innovative and effective security solutions. Given the global nature and impact of its IT projects, McAfee wanted to increase efficiency across the organization and ensure consistent project delivery. To help achieve this, it needed greater visibility into demand, intake, project activities and status—and the ability to manage resources more effectively.

The solution: tailored demand management and consistent reporting

In 2017, McAfee selected Rego Consulting to help it expand the use of its ServiceNow platform.

Rego’s experts provided process consulting to refine and enhance the security company’s project portfolio management approach for IT. The team then provided implementation support for ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM).

The implementation included a custom demand manager dashboard and modifications to a range of dashboards for different user levels: from a PMO (Project Management Office) Director to a Project Manager, to ensure a consistent approach to tracking the status, risks and key metrics of projects across the enterprise.

To optimize speed of adoption for the new processes and system, Rego provided in-person end-user training supplemented by video tutorials for remote locations and continues to provide ongoing training for new and existing users.

McAfee now has greater clarity, more consistent information, and enhanced review processes. This is helping the organization to better prioritize and manage its projects and resources to meet strategic business needs in the fast-paced world of cybersecurity.
